Hi! I’m Diane Hopkins and I’d like to answer your questions about homeschooling. I’ve been homeschooling for the past 2 decades and then some. What a wonderful adventure the homeschooling lifestyle can be! Homeschooling isn’t just how you teach your kids to read, or to do math–it is a wonderful adventure in which your children are your best friends!
You may have all kinds of questions:
Can I really do homeschooling?
Is it good for kids?
Is homeschooling legal?
How do I teach all my homeschooling children at the same time?
What do I do with the baby while I homeschool?
How do I make sure I am covering everything?
How do I make the children do their schoolwork?
Can I keep up with housekeeping while homeschooling?
What if I didn’t do well in school—can I still teach my children well?
Will my homeschooling children have friends and be happy?
Will they be well-adjusted?
How will they ever get into college?
I am here to answer those questions for you and other homeschooling questions you have. And I’m here to assure you that homeschooling is a wonderful journey that keeps parents and kids close, raises good citizens, and makes family life very happy. I’ve been a homeschooling mom for a long time: 24 years. Experience is the best teacher, and I’d love to share with you what I’ve learned about homeschooling!
Come, meet my homeschooling family, since families are what homeschooling is all about. We have a lot of fun together . . . and we learn a lot! I have 7 children. My older children have all graduated from college, and are successful in their careers and as parents. I still have 3 children at home and we have a great time learning together.
Welcome to the Hopkins Family!
And welcome to the adventure of happy homeschooling!
